We started to host DANCE BIENNALE TOKYO from 2002. Aim of the festival is to offer cultural festivities and develop cultural infrastructure by creating mutual understanding and stimulation between various forms of art centering on dance. The world's pioneering contemporary dance artists and officials involved join this festival. |
From 2006, we change it to DANCE TRIENNALE TOKYO and offer more abundant program for extended period. Opportunity to interact with artists is also increased. Furthermore, we partner with a festival in Seoul and promote it globally as "DANCE TRIENNALE TOKYO-SEOUL".
19 companies from 10 countries including Canada, Switzerland, France ,Belgium, Germany, Italy, Israel ,Finland, Korea and Japan total more than 120 artists are to participate in this "DANCE TRIENNALE TOKYO 2006". A variety of dance programs such as performance at Aoyama Round Theatre, Spiral Hall, and Aoyama Theatre, dance forum, workshop, and dance workshop for youth are scheduled to be held. |
